TruckerDate was the “Original” Trucker Dating Site! The 1st and so far still the best. Most of my copycat competitors are fakes, they are not real “trucker Dating” sites. Only a few of them were real; and only two of them were giving me a run for the money, but they were still lagging behind and are now gone. That being said, I’m about done too.
TruckerDate was a good idea, but it just didn’t work. After 20 years, I’m retiring it. Converting everthing and my efforts to CoDriverFinder.com
TruckerDate is still up and running at TruckersDate.com – for now. Once the site crashes, I’m not rebuilding it. Trucker(s)Date.com was supposed to be the beta site, but now… its the only site. Where I originally had TruckerDate, that is no CoDriverFinder.
Feel free to participate in our community! It is virtually free; we charge a small fee to keep scammers, spammers, children and abuse out of the date line and of course to help us support the site and pay for advertising, but you can earn activity points to use the site for free. When you run out of activity points, you can buy more points or buy a subscription. Receiving messages are FREE for everyone, it only costs points to send messages (which helps us cut down on spammers and scammers). We don’t think anyone should have to pay to receive messages, especially with the growing number of CatFish on-line. Be careful who you give your personal information and never send money to anyone unless you know for sure they are legitimate!
Unlike some sites; we don’t only charge men and let women in free, we are a gender equality website. However, we do keep the site affordable; it is virtually free for everybody. Unlike some of our copycat competitors; we do not sell your identity, nor do we force you to subscribe to spam lists. We also do not cater to any religious or non-religious organizations, we cater to truckers. This site is designed to be professional, but flexible as well. We do allow some adult content, just no nude pix and/or videos. As some of you know, we absorbed a few of our copycat competitors and adopted members from another date line (and it looks as though we are about to have another by 2017); anyone can join and/or delete their profiles at any time. My Story 2015:
I grew up in the trucking industry; my grandfather had is own trucking company, my father was in the military and my mother was a truck driver / bus driver. I started out working part time for my grandfather as a grease monkey; now he is retired, my father and I are truck drivers and my mother is working on the railroad. I became a Class C OTR driver in 1995 and started driving TT OTR in 1998. At that time, I started thinking about finding a female co-driver to run team with me. I had thought about making business cards and putting them on all the pay phones saying, “Single male driver seeking single female driver”. Sounds desperate, I know. Then in 2003 while driving though the desert in my truck with no name, I thought of Trucker Date.
I asked a Lady trucker I convoyed with one day what she thought of it and she thought it was a good idea. So when I got home, I did an on line search. The only thing on-line at the time, was the infamous Gay Trucker Rest Area Meetup Handbook; but nothing else that I could find for the rest of us truckers. Then I looked up the domain name for TruckerDate.com and it was available, so I bought it. It took me a few years to figure out how to make it work; around 2005 I had my first site up and running, but it sucked. Then in 2008 I finally got it running and working successfully.
Before… when I told people about Trucker Date, they laughed at me… Now I have a dozen copy cats, probably the same people who laughed at me; but only one of them do I actually consider competition. Most of the other Trucker Dating sites are carbon copy general dating niches that have nothing to do with trucking and they are over charging you for it. Most the other ones suck and the one I consider competition used to do extensive background check and charged accordingly. That’s OK if your willing to pay for that, I’d do it too if you were willing to pay for the background check; but I am trying to keep my price affordable since I didn’t want to charge in the first place.
Here in the new year of 2015 we are moving from the original platform we have had since 2008 because that company is crashing and we don’t wish to go down with the ship, we found a new partner who we hope will be around for awhile and do us right; unlike the other one who kept jacking us around and hiking up the price on us. So now in 2015 we are offering you the option to make money recruiting members to the site, 5-10 members will pay for your subscription if they upgrade to the pay account. We only started charging before because we had problems with spammers and scammers; so that was a successful way to block them because they wouldn’t pay. This new site has new cool features for blocking spammers and scammers, but we will still you to report them when you see them encase they find a way past our system.
Trucker Date will only be a pay site for a few reasons: One; to keep kids, scammers, spammers and haters out. Two, to help us pay for advertising so we can get more members. Three; the software, servers and the IT alone is not cheep. Otherwise; I plan to keep it as affordable as possible, for I am a driver too and I know most people are looking for the best bang for their buck. To help us keep the price down; please tell everyone you know, Like us on FaceBook, Share us, Tweet us and etc… That’s all good free ways to help us help you. Now that we have our referral program, you can make money by advertising for us! So tell EVERYONE to come sign up and make up to 20% off each referral.
A lot of the money we get goes into advertising; so if you are an Independent Contractor and want to advertise on your trailer loud and proud, we want to pay you to be our mobile billboard. We will also be ordering mudflaps, shirts, hats and etc when we can; I will be giving all these away FREE! The mudflaps will go to small mom and pop truck stops where you can purchase them and help support the mom and pop truck stops; mud flaps will also be donated to select owner operators who we feel will run them. If you want to help us buy advertising material to donate and grow the membership, we will have a donation tap on the site for you to contribute. If you are a business who wishes to advertise on this site, we will have those options up shortly.
